There Is Only One Remedy for Insomnia
Remedy for Insomnia June 29th, 2010
My grandmother’s remedy for insomnia was to drink a glass of warm milk before bedtime. Of course, my grandmother didn’t actually suffer from insomnia and never had to try this cure herself. But she swore it would work because she saw it on TV.
My neighbor’s remedy for insomnia was to completely redecorate her bedroom. She heard that if you used room-darkening curtains and placed your bed in a certain position you’d never have trouble again. Of course, she didn’t suffer from insomnia either. She just needed a reason to redecorate the room.
The fact is, a sleepless night here and there does not constitute insomnia. If you only have trouble sleeping once or twice a year then a glass of warm milk or a change of scenery probably will help you get to sleep. But if you suffer from insomnia, if you toss and turn night after night after night, then you already know that the remedy can’t be found in a new pillow or a good book.
Insomnia occurs when your body stops producing Melatonin, the hormone that helps your body distinguish between night and day and tells you when it’s time to go to sleep. When you sleep on a normal schedule your body produces this hormone on a regular basis.
But today’s hectic lifestyles bring on stress and we often don’t get to sleep on a regular schedule because we’re so busy. Stress and disrupting out sleep schedules causes the body to stop producing Melatonin and without it, our body no longer knows it’s time to go to sleep. The only remedy for insomnia then is to teach the body to produce Melatonin again.
Melatrol is an all natural supplement that does just that – it stimulates your body’s production of Melatonin so you can fall asleep. And once you begin sleeping on a regular schedule again, your body begins to take over that production on it’s own. Your sleep patterns return to normal, naturally, with Melatrol.
